Buy me some spongy egg / Kupi mi sunđerasto jaje

Kad se u 33. godini navučeš na šminkanje, kozmetiku, kad prvi put tada čuješ za pojam “highlighter”… Neeee, nisu razlog godine, iako ćete to prvo pomisliti jer sam sa njima započela tekst.
Neeee, razlog je što ti “pukne film”.
Kreneš u izlazak sa drugaricama, sve su savršeno self našminkane, a ti staneš ispred ogledala, uzmeš poznatu ti šminku koju obrćeš ni sama ne znaš koliko dugo, pogledaš svoje lice koje traži bar malu promenu, i zapitaš se “Hm, šta sada uraditi, odakle da počnem?!”

Nooo, reason is that you reach the breaking point.
You decide to go out parting and all of your girls have perfect make up, and you stand there in front of your mirror, reaching for the same old make up that you just refill for ages, looking at your face in need of change and wondering: “Where can i start goddammit?”

Jedan za drugim, danima, umesto Slagalice na Facebook-u uz jutarnju kafu.
Kada se desiše ovi novi pojmovi u šminkanju? Otkud highlighter, otkud konturisanje, zar nije dovoljno samo staviti senku na kapke, maskara, sjaj na usne, dobro ajde i malo rumenila, eto nasminkana si!

When did all of those cosmetics terms happened? Where in the hell did highlighter came, or contouring? Isn’t it enough to put some eye shadow, mascara, lip gloss, ok if you must some blush and there you have it.

Sećam se pre godinu i po dana, drugar (koji je u tom momentu išao na kurs za profesionalnog šminkera) me moli da mu u San Francisku kupim Sephorin beauty blender.
Bacam se na net da guglam sta je beauty blender.
I nadjem!

Čemu to uopšte služi u šminkanju??
Nije ni bitno, kupiću mu sunđerasto jaje, evo ti sunđerasto jaje, bitno da ne dodaje težinu na već ionako pretežak kofer.

Year and a half ago I remember my friend asked me before my trip to San Francisco to get him some Sephora beauty blender.
I had to google it.
And i found it!
Spongy egg!
Im sorry, what?
What does that even do? Never mind, I’ll get him spongy egg, there’s your spongy egg, only that matters it’s not making my baggage heavier.

I onda se desio taj „kvrc“ koji sam spomenula.
Više mi ne treba da tek zbog usluge nekome uđem u radnju sa šminkom, sama sebi sam dovoljna kazna i sama dodajem težinu kofera na putovanjima.
Pitaj me sada šta je beauty blender. Ili highlighter?
I foundation puder može da se nađe na mom licu, a ne samo tonirana krema. Konačno znam kako ću iskoristiti sve nijanse senki iz paleta, a tu su i divni highlighteri.

Galerie Kaufhof u Frankfurtu, jedva su me isterali iz odeljka sa šminkom – highlighter u contouring setu, highlighter posebno (jer tom sjaju nisam mogla da odolim).
